When heartful harmonies and technical precision come together and describe a world, it may very well be Hectors World. Deep in the woods, following the path of faith, or up in his Observatory, watching the busy and mindless other people in their little world. Hector strolls between his connection to nature and computerized technology. You can see him every evening chilling in his backyard, enjoying a cold drink and watching the organic world burn up into robofunk. Badubs music is a very organic, uplifting and love-containing style of psydub, emotionally touching and well composed melodies. In contrast, Jules style of production is clean and percussive, techincal precision is a key element.
The duality can be heard, but also seen on the Cover Picture of the EP: The lower part is covered in forest and wonders, while the upper area appears technoid and constructed, representing the two composers’ approaches, which are morphing together on the horizon line in the middle. What it creates, is a World that is inhabited by a weird sociopathic scientist, named Hector.
